Further Information

There are GBRMPA permit requirements. The general public and other travel agencies can access the Sand Cays within the Marine Park. Therefore, it is not possible to ensure exclusive access to Vlassof Cay. Depending on the tides and weather, landings are allowed only when the Sand Cay is empty. In the unlikely event that Vlassof Cay is already occupied when we arrive, we will pop the bubbles on board, get high over the outer Barrier Reef, and prolong the picturesque flight by ten minutes.

Conditions that apply to the Sand Cay tours described here are addressed and verified with passengers before takeoff. The operator maintains the right to change the schedule and prolong the portion of the scenic flight. Refunds will not be given. Not every landing at Vlasoff Sand Cay is feasible. We are only allowed to land there when it is empty, and the tides allow us to do so safely because it is a public location.

We’ll fly on to explore the splendor of the Outer Reef if we cannot land. This extended bespoke tour with bubbles checks all the requirements. As we ascend to 3,000 feet, minute features of the reef give way to expansive vistas, all of which are caught on your complimentary in-flight film. Before your flight takes off, your pilot will review these and additional options with you.
