Where Is Stony Point Caravan Park Located?

Stony Point, 11 kilometres from Hastings and 7 kilometres from Balnarring, and 69 kilometres southeast of Melbourne on Western Port Bay, is the perfect place to unwind and go fishing.

Stony Point was the starting and ending point for all rail and ferry traffic throughout Western Port. Most people, farmers, and fishermen could be seen daily transporting their goods to far-off markets.

Today, visitors can go from Stony Point to the entire Mornington Peninsula, with its galleries, bicycle routes, and vineyards, or play golf on one of the Peninsula’s many courses. Stony Point is only 2 kilometres away from Cerberus Golf Course. 

There are 50 powered sites at Stony Point    Caravan Park, many of which are occupied by our recurring annuals. There are 4 Cabins and 2 Onsite Vans. We have a tiny camp kitchen in the camping area. The three-lane Stony Point boat ramp is located not far from the park.

French Island and Philip Island passenger ferries depart from the jetty at Stony Point, and there is a rail connection from Melbourne, with the station being a short walk from the campground. 

The Department of Sustainability and Environment designated the Crib Point Stony Point    Foreshore Committee of Management Inc. to oversee the foreshore Crown Land from Jacks Beach Reserve to Stony Point. They are responsible for running the park.

You should call to make a reservation first because they sell out far in advance during the summer. Their onsite managers are always available to help and make your stay pleasant. Stony Point is the best place to unwind, indulge in fishing, and enjoy local attractions.

Stony Point is situated on the Western Port side of the Mornington Peninsula, just 69 kilometres southeast of Melbourne. It’s a peaceful setting ideal for unwinding, taking in the scenery, or fishing.

Accommodations at Stony Point are available on 4.5 acres of Crown Land and include:-

Campsites Powered

It is located all across our caravan park. Their powered sites are close to the beach and all the park amenities. You have access to electricity and water at each level, a grassy place and a short stroll will bring you to the lovely Shelly Beach, shared BBQ areas, or other park amenities. 

You can quickly fill up food and camping materials because the park is close to the neighbourhood stores. Every powered site has parking for just one automobile.

Cabins

No other accommodations can compare to the luxury and tranquillity of our cabins. For example, you can stay on the riverbanks or among the shaded gums.

Find a good place to sit by the river and unwind there. Similarly, you can enjoy the tranquil sounds of birds chirping and ducks’ water gently lapping down riverbanks.

constructed with care to comfortably accommodate busy times of the year and huge events. Our Camp Kitchen and Games Room is a comprehensive package for our guests to enjoy all year and consists of three distinct areas. Undercover outdoor grilling area with gas grills and park benches.

Fully enclosed camp kitchen with three independent gas cooktops, a large prep table, a microwave, a refrigerator, kettles, and toasters. With a gas log fire heater for the colder months, the TV, and the dining area.

All ages can enjoy the pool table, air hockey table, and TV in the games area.

It is conveniently situated in the centre of our campgrounds with a sizable double-glazed window overlooking campsites with lake views.

It is a centrally heated restroom facility that provides toilets, washbasins, private washrooms, free hot showers, shaver points, and hair dryers.

In addition, the camping area now features a new family bathroom pod with a shower, toilet, and sink, which is ideal for those late-night needs when the main building feels too far away.

Laundry

There are washing machines and tumble dryers available for your use, even though they know that doing the laundry is the last thing you want to do while on vacation or if you run out of clothes. In our washing room, we also have an iron.

Check-in begins at 1 pm. 10 am is the cutoff time. There is plenty of linen. When you arrive, the main bed is already made. Our cabins are cleaned only a few times a week.

Toilet paper and complimentary tea and coffee are only provided upon arrival. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. are office hours. We can accommodate a late check-in if you arrive after 4 PM. As you drive down the driveway, the office is the FIRST structure on the RIGHT.
